This small town of Begur administered by a local municipality is located in the Girona province. It is a town with a population of about 4000 local inhabitants but the population swells ten times during summer season. It has a castle built during 16th and 17th century. The city boasts few of the prestigious beaches; beach of Sa Riera, beach Aiguafreda, Platja Fonda beach, SaTuna beach, etc. The population swells during summer because of influx of tourists which is an indication of its popularity as a most preferred tourist spot.
